MY SCHOOL TEACHING DIARIES-DAY 6

   Today, I continued with chemistry potion "metals".I discussed about the physical properties of metals such as hardness, metallic lustre,thermal conductivity,sonority,electrical conductivity, sonority.

   My class began at 5:30 pm in the evening which lasted for one hour.After recalling about metals learned in previous class, I just introduced them about soft and hard metals and I elaborated the concept with the help of experimental videos. Each of the  three videos helped me to convey the idea of hardness,thermal conductivity and sonority of metals.

  For the next half hour, I continued to teach other physical properties of metals such as electrical conductivity,High melting point and density.After having a short recap of all metallic properties learnt till then,I introduced them electricity and conductors.Most of the activities included videos to prove these properties that a metal is supposed to exhibit.Overall,the class was fine.I felt more confident to handle the class .Also,I learned to regulate my speed while teaching.Credit for the good class actually goes to the really good students of Anchal West GHSS for their attention and involvement in the classroom despite all the problems that may arise in an online class.
