MY PEER TEACHING DIARIES-DAY1

 3/2/2021                                                                                                                WEDNESDAY

Our peer teaching session started by 9:30am today.First class was handled by Akhila teacher.Mine was the last hour(3:00-3:30pm).I took class from the 10th standard physics portion "Effects of electric current''.Today's class particularly focused on the "heating effect of electric current"

I began the class by helping children recall the definition of current, its equation and SI unit.I then asked students to give a list of electronic appliances used at their homes from which I delivered the concept that electrical energy is being converted to different other useful forms of energy.Through giving an activity to fill a table,I could convey them that effect of electric current is nothing but the conversion of electrical energy into other useful forms of energy by any electronic device.I ended up the chapter by conveying that the factors affecting heat due to electric current are resistance of the conductor, intensity of current and time taken for current flow. After ensuring whether the students have got the concept through asking questions, I move on to conclude the lesson by assigning the students with a follow up activity.

Overall,I was confident with the lesson.I am satisfied that that I could deliver the concepts well.Keeping apart slight internet issues,I feel I followed a proper order, structure and systematic manner in delivering  the contents by clearly following the maxims of learning. Through appropriate reinforcement ,I was able to capture the students' attention through motivation.
