My Innovative work- spinning wheel with periodic table

Image
My innovative work  is a spinning wheel of elements in a periodic table.I made this with the aim of transacting the concept of elements, their symbols, atomic number, mass number ,number of nuetrons and electronic configuration. The wheel is made with the help of cardboard, glue, chart and markers. It works in the following way: A student is asked to randomly pick a number  from 1 to 30 by rotating the wheel .This is followed by displaying the name of element ,it's atomc number, mass number, electronic configuration and nuetron number  on the wheel. This will help children memorize important details about the first 30 elements of the periodic table

WEEKLY REPORT - 3(SCHOOL TEACHING)

My third week of internship began with online school teaching sessions. I was assigned to teach class 8 students of GHSS Anchal, West. I taught them "Force" and "Metals" from the physics and chemistry portions respectively. I began my class with "force" from which I taught all portions such as type of forces, frictional forces ,types of friction, thrust and pressure, liquid pressure and finally atmospheric pressure. The topic was very interesting for them and this also motivated me to use all possible aids for teaching them. I used charts, activity cards, sponge, paper, wall etc. to demonstrate the activities. video experiments, slides etc. were also included in the lesson. Atmospheric pressure was explained with much effort as it took more time to convey them its idea. Also beacuse some children had net issues, I had to explain certain things more than once. This somehow distracted me and my time management. I also felt difficulty at times to know wh...

WEEKLY REPORT-2(PEER TEACHING)

I continued with my peer teaching sessions for the next week also. This week, I dealt with 8th standard chemistry topic "Chemical changes". On the first day of the week, I discussed about the difference between physical and chemical changes with the help of few examples and activities. On the next few days, I covered topics such as thermochemical reactions, photochemical reactions, electrochemical reactions, hydrogen ,reactions of hydrogen, oxygen and preparation of hydrogen. I made an even better plan and prepared for it by arranging a new blackboard setup. Also, I bought new colored chalks to write on it. I chose a place with no net issues for my class. All these actually helped me to do the classes well in a satisfactory manner.      Students' response made me more confident  because of which I taught  with full potential using video experiments and also making effective utilization of the blackboard and charts .I felt that I could...

WEEKLY REPORT-1(PEER TEACHING)

As a part of the B.Ed. curriculum, we the student teachers had to get acquainted with the best teaching qualities which is usually made possible with the help of a school internship programme .Since it is now a pandemic situation  that we are facing now ,we had to do it through online platforms such as google meet.As a result ,we were instruct to conduct our classes through peer and online school teaching sessions.Out of 30 lessons,15 were taught through peer teaching sessions and the rest 15 were taught through online school teaching sessions.     Our first week of internship began with peer teaching classes. For the first three days, all nine of us taught within the same peer. For the rest of the days,we were devided into  two peer groups each of which conducted their classes simultaneously.     During the first week, I taught from the topic "effects of electric current" which was a  tenth standard portion. My first week cover...
